MIDIator

MIDIator

Free MIDI translator software for controlling Giglad from keyboards, arrangers, and MIDI devices. Remap incoming MIDI messages into notes or CC commands that Giglad can understand.

Description

Free MIDI translator software can help when your keyboard, arranger, or MIDI controller sends the wrong messages for the software you want to control. MIDIator was created to make this easier for Giglad users.

Many keyboards and arrangers send different types of MIDI messages. Some buttons send notes. Some send CC messages. Others send Program Change messages. Some controls may not send anything useful at all.

As a MIDI mapper, MIDIator listens to incoming MIDI data and remaps it into simple controls that Giglad can understand. It can convert different MIDI messages into notes or CC commands for triggering Giglad functions.

This makes MIDIator especially useful if you want to control Giglad from an arranger keyboard. Arrangers are powerful instruments, but they were not designed as standard MIDI controllers. Different brands and models send different MIDI messages.

With this MIDI mapping tool, you can use buttons, variations, sounds, styles, pads, or other arranger functions as control sources for Giglad. What you can use depends on what your instrument actually sends over MIDI.

MIDIator is not a perfect replacement for a dedicated MIDI controller. Some controls, such as tempo wheels, start/stop buttons, or other panel buttons, may not send usable MIDI data.

Still, this free MIDI translator software is a practical way to remap MIDI messages and control Giglad from the equipment you already own.
